  1. It's amusing to me that the quote is amusing to you. The distinction between ordinary time and and the two festal cycles are so ingrained in me that it's been a small irritant that Orthodoxy doesn't make the distinction.

    All the same, it is true that to us "gringos," nothing is ordinary in the Orthodox Church.
